About
NanoKnife is a focal therapy that uses IRE which stands for “Irreversible Electroporation”, a cutting-edge technique used in treating certain cancers, including prostate cancer. IRE utilizes the power of electrical pulses to target and destroy cancerous cells.
This precise targeting is made possible through advanced real time imaging and specialized equipment, ensuring the highest level of safety and effectiveness. This treatment is minimally invasive and performed under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis.
IRE generates very little heat, which is particularly beneficial for tumors in delicate areas like the prostate, where preserving healthy tissue, such as the bladder, urethra, urinary sphincter, rectum, and erectile nerves, is crucial. This results in minimal side effects and complications.

Pivotal Studies
IRE specifically targets cancer cells while preserving healthy tissue, improving treatment outcomes and long-term success in controlling prostate cancer.
Precise and Effective
IRE is performed on an outpatient basis, allowing you to return home the same day of the treatment, ensuring minimal disruption to your daily routines.
Outpatient Procedure
IRE treatment maintains prostate functionality and minimizes side effects like urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction. Unlike radiation it does not cause secondary cancers in adjacent organs. In the unlikely event of a treatment failure, radiation and surgery remain options for salvage treatment.
Preserves Quality of Life
No incisions are made, leading to reduced pain, a shorter recovery period, and lower risk of complications compared to radical prostate surgery.
Minimally Invasive
